Trust first.
Then open the gate.
Hiring someone to look after your yard means letting a crew onto your property every week or two, putting treatments on the grass your family uses, and paying every month. Most people ask a neighbor. Find Yard Pros is for when you don’t have one to ask — or want to double-check the name you got. We show what you can verify for yourself: an FDACS license where the work needs one, the insurance, agreement and prices the business states, review sources and hours. No invented ratings, and anything featured is clearly labeled.
Find Yard Pros helps homeowners find lawn care, landscaping, irrigation and tree & shrub businesses, compare what they publish, and contact them directly. We’re starting with Tampa Bay, Florida: Hillsborough, Pinellas and Pasco, plus neighbouring Hernando, Manatee and Polk.
A first collection, with room to grow.
Our collection includes 1079 businesses based in 77 Tampa Bay areas. It is a researched starting point, not a complete inventory of Tampa Bay lawn and landscape companies. We include independents, local multi-crew companies, franchises and regional companies, and keep each office or franchise territory as its own listing. Owner-verified profiles are marked individually after review.
Where the details come from.
We use each business’s own website. Leads come from public map listings, but a business is only listed after we check its own site. Every profile links to its sources and shows when we checked them. A source-check date does not mean the business updated the page that day.
Many lawn and landscape businesses work from a truck, not a storefront. When a business doesn’t publish a street address as its business location we don’t show one — we show where it is based and the areas it says it serves. Published office hours use Tampa Bay local time (Eastern). Unknown hours stay unknown. Map pins are geocoded from published street addresses only, so they are approximate. Your location is only used in your browser to sort by distance — it is never sent to us. Initials appear when we have not sourced a usable business logo.
Licenses, insurance and agreements.
Commercial fertilizer, pesticide and weed-control work on Florida lawns needs a pest-control business license from the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS). We show a license number when the business publishes it, or when the FDACS record matches the business’s name and address — never a guess. See how to check an FDACS license.
Insurance statements, service-agreement terms and certifications such as Florida-Friendly Landscaping, GI-BMP, ISA Certified Arborist or FNGLA appear exactly as the business states them, linked to the page where it says so. We don’t verify insurance with the insurer — ask for a certificate. Prices appear only when the business publishes them, with the source and check date; we don’t estimate prices.
Photos of real work.
Photos come from official business websites. We label finished work and team photos and link every image to its source. We don’t use stock images or map imagery. Owners can request a replacement or removal through the correction form.
Reviews, with their sources.
Profiles link to matching review pages where we can identify them. We don’t copy star ratings or review counts from other platforms — we link to them, so you always read the current reviews in their own context. Business-selected testimonials are kept separate from independent reviews.
What a listing means.
Inclusion is not an endorsement, partnership, or quality rating. We don’t invent reviews, star ratings, prices or credentials. Nothing on Find Yard Pros is legal advice. Business names and logos identify the businesses and belong to their respective owners.
What “Featured” means.
Some owner-verified businesses are Featured. Featured businesses have spoken with Winback Engine, the company behind Find Yard Pros, about its customer-reactivation service, and may be Winback Engine customers. Featured listings carry a “Featured” label and can appear first in the default sort. Featuring never changes a listing’s trust check, credentials, photos or review sources, and every other sort and filter works exactly the same for every business.
For business owners.
Claim requests and suggested corrections are free. Requests are held for review; submitting a form does not change a public profile or prove ownership. Ownership should be established through a business contact that was independently published before the request.
Why Winback Engine?
This directory is a Winback Engine project. Alongside helping homeowners find local pros, we want to meet business owners who need help winning back past customers — cancelled plans and one-off jobs that never rebooked. Owners can choose to ask about that service. It is separate from a free directory listing.
