The short answer

Few yard companies post prices at all. Only 78 of the 799 lawn and landscape pros in our directory (10%) list any price on their own website. The rest quote after a visit or by phone, so these numbers come from the price-friendly slice of the market, almost all of it (74 of 78) independent local companies.

What a monthly lawn plan costs

This is the lowest monthly mowing or maintenance plan each company publishes. Most are "from" prices for a standard residential lot; bigger yards, fences, ponds and slopes cost more.

Seven start under $100, fourteen between $100 and $150, and three above $150. The names on these plans hide real differences. A "basic" plan usually means mowing, edging, line trimming and blowing; shrub trimming and bed weeding tend to sit in the next tier up, which at these companies costs $10 to $70 a month more.

Wesley Chapel has the most companies with a published monthly price, five, from $100 to $205.

Weekly or every two weeks?

Three companies publish both a weekly and an every-two-weeks plan, so you can see the trade-off directly:

Cutting half as often saves you 25% to 38% a month, not 50%. Per visit, the less frequent schedule costs more. Augusta Lawn Care in Largo prices it out: a small yard is $40 a visit weekly and $60 a visit every two weeks, and a medium yard $55 versus $82.

What one mowing visit costs

Eight companies publish a per-visit or per-week mowing price for a small residential yard. They run $28 to $50, with a typical price of $40. Electric Turf Pros' basic plan states 38 visits a year at $120 a month, which works out to about $38 a visit.

Sprinkler checks and repairs

Thirteen companies publish a price for a one-time irrigation visit: a service call, diagnostic or inspection. They range from $45 to $150, typical $80. Read what's included, because the visits aren't the same:

After the visit, published repair labor runs $80 to $115 an hour, parts extra. Annual sprinkler maintenance plans start at $97 a year for one Pasco County company and run $250 to $500 a year at the Conserva Irrigation franchises in Riverview and St. Petersburg.

Sod by the pallet

Three sod sellers publish pallet prices (sod only, before delivery or install):

Installed, published prices start at $1.25 to $2.50 a square foot, depending on the grass, and Big Daddy Lawns lists from $600 for one pallet installed.

First-visit offers

Four companies advertise an intro price on their own sites, as of November 5, 2026. None gives an end date, so check before you book: a $5 first mow for first-time clients (Top Lawn Pros, Riverview), a $19 first cut (American Edge Lawn Care, New Port Richey), a $19.95 first lawn treatment for new customers (Southern Care Lawn and Pest, New Port Richey) and $10 off a first service (J & M Lawn Service and More, Tampa). One Valrico company lists a $100 winter irrigation check.

Where prices are easiest to find

Price-posting companies cluster in a few places. In St. Petersburg, 12 of 68 listed pros publish a price, and in New Port Richey it's 8 of 36. Wesley Chapel has 6 of 21 and Riverview 6 of 23. Tampa has the most yard pros of any area, 140, but only 3 post prices. You can browse every area from the Tampa Bay page.

How we counted

We used the prices each company publishes on its own website, as recorded in the Find Yard Pros directory and checked on November 5, 2026. Of the 799 listed Tampa Bay lawn and landscape pros, 78 publish at least one price. For monthly plans we took each company's lowest recurring mowing or maintenance plan billed per month; we left out fertilization-only programs, add-ons and plans with no stated billing period. Per-visit mowing counts only small-yard residential prices. "Typical" is the median. We didn't convert per-visit, per-acre or per-square-foot prices into monthly ones, and we didn't count prices quoted only by phone.
